Job Description:
1. The Research Analyst is expected to provide research based insights on Market Trends , Suppliers,pricing and contract structures ; thereby recommending sourcing strategies for a set of serivces on global and regional basis.
Job Responsibilites:
1. Identification of sources of information (secondery and primary sources)
2. Extraction of information/content extraction through the source of information.
3. Thorugh understanding of the commodity under research.
4. Identification of various drives of the commodity under research – cost/demand/price drives.
5. Determination of the economic behavior of the supply/demand/price of the commodity.
6. Identification of experts for the commodity and key extraction of information.
7. Competitive analysis of major suppliers of the commodity.
8. Industry analysis.
9. Use of various strategic frameworks to determine cometitive positionnig.
10. Forecasts – Industry trends and more.
11. Impact determination – macroeconomics/logistic/supplychain/disruptions/legislation/taxes on the supply and price of the commadity.
12. Providing inputs towords price forecasts – (quantitative information/factors to support the price forecasts of the commodity)
Candidate Profile:
Job Requirements:
1. Ability to effectively operate independetly and in a enviroment.
2. In-depth knowledge on various strategic quadrants and the procurement analysis tools.
3. Holistic view on the overall industry spend categories.
4. Key focus/expectations of industry stakeholders through the market intelligence report.
5. Basic understandig on the value chain of the respective domain and how each category are related to drive the top line growth.
6. Key end users of respective domain/industry and its categories and the emerging trends that marketers should be aware of Level of innovation brought in through the MI reports delivered past.
