Role Details

• We are building one of the worlds largest database of product and pricing information. We ingest tons of data from a variety of sources (crawling, API, customer dumps), all running in a continuous, distributed data pipeline. Now we are looking to surface out all of this data and extract out insights, which we hope to write data-driven blog posts on.
• We’re looking for someone who will do a deep dive on our data and build a data pipeline to pull out interesting insights and augment data with external sources, by writing customer web crawlers.
• You will work closely with our Data Science team in building out these pipelines.
• You will also be working closely with our writing team – both in the house and external – wholl be writing data-driven journalistic articles based on the insights that you’ve gathered.
• You will monitor essential graphs and dashboard, and provide feedback to your team where necessary.
• You will handle ad-hoc tasks required to meet customer requirements on short notice.

Skills Required

• Fresh CS college grads are welcome!
• You are an avowed Pythonista and dream in Python 3
• You are familiar with numpy and Pandas
• You are familiar with working with Jupyter notebooks and familiar with any of these visualization libraries – matplotlib, seaborn, bokeh, plotly etc.
• You are familiar with web scraping and have used Scrapy before
• Bonus: You are familiar with sci-kit learn
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
