Job Role Software Engineer / Sr Software Engineer – C / C++ – Media Domain
JOB Discribtion:
PRIMARY SKILLS (MUST HAVE):
– Strong C/C++ programming skills.
– Extensive Design and implementation experience & debugging skills on embedded platforms
– Expert in RTOS (preferably in Embedded Linux).
– Expertise on Media Player / Recorder, Media access modules (File containers and Parsers for MP3, JPEG, MPEG2PS, MPEGTS, MP4, WMA/V, Divx etc.) and streaming framework (Gstreamer, OpenMax etc).
– Must to have good working knowledge on platforms – TI Davinci platforms (DM365, DM368, DM814x, DM816x, DM38x etc)
– Knowledge on Video formats & standards (H.264, AVC, MPEG2 HW based decoders), Real time embedded data dependent software.
– Expertise on MPEG2 Transport Demux, MPEG2 system standards, AV sync issues, Memory management etc.
– Good working knowledge on platforms – TI Davinci or ATMEL or Freescale i.MX etc.
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong reasoning, analytical and strategizing skills.
SECONDARY SKILLS (NICE TO HAVE) :
– Hands-on experience on using Open source tool chains.
– Overview of IPTV, IPCamera, DVR, Video conferencing System, TV and STB Architecture.
– Expertise in DVB/ATSC standards, MPEG, H264 and Broadcast audio standards.
– Expertise in Network Streaming Protocols (RTSP/HTTP/SIP)
