Job Description:
Responsibilities :
1. Expand existing automation framework to provide additional test capabilities for L2 Carrier Ethernet Switches
2. Evolve automated test framework to achieve higher test throughput, increased accessibility and test execution flexibility
3. Update framework to achieve sustainability and maintainability
4. Develop solutions that improve automation engineers’ efficiency & effectiveness in automation test development, execution and troubleshooting
5. Improve the reliability & repeatability of automated testing
6. Support a globally-distributed test automation team in their use of the automation framework & infrastructure
7. Conduct diagnostic analysis and troubleshooting to resolve complex software issues
Candidate Profile:
Required Skills :
1. Experience with test automation systems and tools
2. Excellent software development skills in Linux environment
3. Fluent in various scripting languages for test automation (TCL, Python, Ruby, Perl)
4. Object-oriented software design experience
5. In-depth knowledge and experience with test automation concepts, practices and procedures
6. Expert in analyzing, troubleshooting and resolving complex issues
7. Understanding of state of the art validation / QA tools
8. Strong communication skills – written & verbal
9. Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with globally-distributed teams
Required Experience :
1. Strong collaboration, teamwork and inter-personal skills
2. Self-starter and able to work with little supervision
3. Able to multitask and manage multiple projects
4. Able to learn and apply new concepts and technologies quickly
5. Excellent planning and organization skills
6. Committed to delivering on aggressive deadlines
7. Experience with Ixia traffic generators and software test suites
8. Knowledge of computer and data communication systems, networking, Ethernet switches, L2/L3 Ethernet protocols and real world topologies.
9. Knowledge of underlying web technologies including HTTP, HTML, and JavaScript.
10. Experience with SQL databases
11. Solid understanding of customer/end user’s perspective
12. Strong commitment to product excellence.
