Specifying Software – We use poker cards and Fibonacci series to estimate a sprint through a consensus between the entire team, we also ask the client and stakeholders to put value to each user-story. We then try to build More valuable features that are least complex to build to deliver lot of value early on.
Daily Scrum – each day team meets at a fixed time for a stand up scrum, which last for 15 mins for each project and where issues are brought out to the surface in front of senior members and stakeholders. Even though we work with clients across the globe we are thankful to our clients who adjust with us and make sure they daily come for this meeting via skype – after all it is not the technology but the quality of communication that brings success!
Always Unit Test Code – Every developer has been trained to unit test his/her code on local machine and time to time reviewed by peer or team lead. Our testing team works very closely with the developers and works hard to check validations, try weird things on all kinds of devices and browsers.
Always use a project management tool – we internally have gotten used to using redmine and there are plenty others out there that we love, we are open to choosing the one the client prefers. Jira, Asana, Producteev, Bugzilla, basecamp are some of the other frequent ones.
